What is your view on health (care)?

The health care sector is very dynamic. Health care professionals have to deal with a large variety in need and demand for care from people with different health problems and social backgrounds. In addition, the sector is facing a number of big challenges, of which the consequences of ageing and increasing obesity are prominent examples. To help counter these problems, new medicines, treatments and other technologies seem to become available on a daily basis, and policies and the organization of care are constantly adapted. Many of these changes also have an ethical dimension.

In this dynamic environment it has become a good custom to ask the public for their opinion about current issues in health care that affect them. On this website you will find some examples of recent and ongoing studies on a variety of topics. You are kindly invited to share your views on these topics with us, so that we can give our research a wider and more international perspective.

In case a study on this website is externally funded it is clearly indicated. Most studies however were initiated by researchers of the institute of Health Policy & Management of Erasmus MC (Rotterdam, The Netherlands) out of general or academic interest.
